Visit of the Romanian Minister of the Environment to Profikomp

Recently, we presented the work going on at our site to high level professional visitors again. This time Mr. Barna Tánczos, the Minister of the Environment of Romania, and his delegation – the Ambassador of Romania to Hungary, the Commercial Attaché, the Director of the Romanian Ministry of Environment and their advisers – visited us, accompanied by Secretary of State Mr. Attila Steiner.

During the visit, an informal discussion took place about the waste management strategies and programs of the two countries, about the situation of bio-waste management, as well as the circular economy, its opportunities and challenges. In the course of the site visit, we placed special emphasis on presenting the practical operation of our demonstration plant. The greatest attention was, of course, to one of the most pressing topics, the composting technology of biopolymers. In addition, our diversified research and development projects have aroused serious interest: including our compost and plant tests, insect protein production, algae cultivation experiments, and odour emission measurement service.

We are proud that the Minister and his delegation have described the work here as exemplary and as a model to follow. We hope that in the future Hungarian-Romanian professional relations will be strengthened in the field of bio-waste management as well.
